Tamco Systems has amassed about four decades of experience, dating back to 1964 when we first incorporated as Tamco Electrical Engineering Company (Tamco). The company developed into one of the region's foremost manufacturers and distributors of switchgears, electrical distribution and electronic equipment.

Tamco was acquired by Nylex Malaysia Berhad in 1986 and became part of the BTR Group (now known as Invensys). In 1992, a merger between Tamco's trading and distribution operations and Newey & Eyre - a regional distributor of electrical equipment and products - led to the formation of Tamco Electrical & Electronics.

Since then, we have grown from strength to strength, with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2003, Tamco Electrical & Electronics was re-named Tamco Systems to better reflect our new business focus and the role of the company which has evolved over the years.
